Our school bank is now available to all pupils across the school.  It is a great way to help children get the savings habit and save money either for holidays, special occasions or a special toy.  Each child who joins the school bank will receive a free money box to collect their pennies in at home, which can then be transferred into their school bank account on a Monday evening.  The school bank is held in the Training Room adjacent to the school office from 3.15pm to 4.00pm on a Monday evening.

Liz Jenkins, our school governor, assisted by Mr Dawson and Mr Dinsdale are currently running the school bank on behalf of Hull and East Yorkshire Credit Union.

As well as pupils, adults can also open an account with Hull and East Yorkshire Credit Union at the school.  You can save as little or as much as you like and all savings are 100% protected.  The school then provides a convenient location to deposit savings instead of catching a bus to town to visit the nearest bank.

If anyone in your family would like to start saving please ensure you bring the following information with you:

  • A Birth Certificate or Child Benefit letter for any child wishing to open an account;
  • A passport or driving licence for the supporting adult;
  • Proof of address, such as a utility bill, also for the adult.

This is a great initiative and a really fantastic way to help prepare our pupils for their future lives.
